Author Notes: Susanne Miesner is a master in equestrian management and since 30 years she is internationally recognized and a successful trainer of riders and horses. She was awarded with the “Stensbeck plaque” and has been 15 years in the Audit Committee for Professional Riders. With young horses she could achieve numerous wins and placings at state and national championships.
She was successful with several self educated horses up to Grand Prix level also international. She is co-author of the actual german guidelines of the German Equstrian Federation, so that she could cooperate and exchange ideas with outstanding personalities. She is responsible for several educational films and books and wrote the booklet “Education of young horses”. Her knowledge and practical experience was demonstrated in many clinics and it always shows, that the principles of the german guidelines present a method of training which is logical and appropriately coherent to the horse in its development. She always proves, that the basic training of the young horse is fundamentally important for its further education.
